Pattern below pics. This is for my ONLY aunt for Christmas.
Needles: a 12″ size 7 circ and some size 5 DPNs (that was all I had)
Yarn: Rowan Tapestry, brown colorway.
Gauge: 11 stitches & 13 rows to 2″ square.
CO 100 onto circs. Join into round.
Rounds 1-8: do K1P1 ribbing.
Do 6 rounds stockinette.
On the next round, M1 every 10 stitches (total 110 stitches).
5 rounds stockinette and then another increase every 11 stitches for the next round. (120 stitches total). NOTE: You are putting these increases in the same place each round, just there are more stitches between your increases as you go up.
5 rounds stockinette and then increase every 12 stitches (130 total).
5 rounds stockinette and then increase every 13 stitches (140).
5 rounds stockinette and then increase every 14 stitches. Total 150.
Knit another 5 rounds. On the 5th round place markers every 25 stitches (6 markers total).
DECREASE ROUNDS:
After every marker, SSK.
When 6 stitches remain, work 7 rounds of i-cord. Cast off, weave in end, and block on a dinner plate to beret shape as desired.
